The Revelation of John possesses a deep symbolic character, particularly regarding the numbers that appear throughout the text. The numbers, which are repeatedly mentioned, are all written out in full with their letters. These numbers are: SEVEN, FOUR, THOUSAND, TEN THOUSAND, TWELVE THOUSAND, TWO HUNDRED MILLION, THREE, SEVEN THOUSAND, TWELVE, TEN, ONE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED SIXTY, ONE HUNDRED FORTY-FOUR THOUSAND, THREE and THREE HUNDRED FIFTY.
The number SIX HUNDRED SIXTY SIX is not referred to in full as the above numbers are, but with the letters of the Pythagorean Alphabet. The Pythagorean Alphabet was used in mathematics and evidently in the priesthood. Why does John make this unique exception and what does he cover with the anathema that he casts upon these three letters of the Pythagorean Alphabet?
What is the reason why the beast = 666 acquires such an unrelated, arbitrary, and unpredictable symbolism? Why is only the word beast coded and no other word in the text of the Revelation? Since he knows the use of letters, as is evident from the selection of the letters, why does he not render the correct term for the beast;
