The current political and social crisis brings to the forefront with particular intensity the issue of modernizing institutions, improving the functioning of the political system and public administration. Five years after the 2008 revision, the possibility of a new revision of the constitutional text provides the ground for a discussion on the entire constitutional material.

The collective work 'The Challenge of Constitution Revision' lays the foundations for a contemporary dialogue on critical institutional and state issues. Through the sixteen contributions included in this volume, all the critical issues that currently concern political and constitutional reality are analyzed. Specifically, the need for the introduction of a more effective system of control of criminal and parliamentary responsibility of government members, the prospects and the possibility of changing the existing electoral framework, the modernization of education, the reforms in the field of public administration, the strengthening of the protection of fundamental rights, as well as the possibility of introducing elements of direct or even presidential democracy into the Greek political system are thoroughly analyzed.
