Description

The General Principles is the most abstract, and for this reason perhaps the most difficult part of Civil Law. This work combines simplicity with completeness, clarity and easy understanding of complex and abstract concepts not only by students, but also by all Legal practitioners who are daily faced with unresolved issues of interpretation.

The work stands out for the systematic classification of the subject matter into a small number of units - paragraphs, while each chapter is accompanied by bibliography and a diagram of the subject matter. The main text often includes simple examples from practice that are directly related to the relevant theory, thus contributing to the immediate understanding and connection with the practical application of the developing issues. References to case law, which has been enriched with recent and critical decisions, are continuous and often verbatim. Each paragraph concludes with a separate reference to critical judicial decisions. The above comprehensible structure is a characteristic that elevates the work to a user-friendly study guide.

In particular, the subject matter of this work includes, firstly, an Introduction to Civil Law, which traditionally refers to the rules of law, their sources and interpretation. Two parts follow: The first part is dedicated to rights and their subjects, namely natural and legal persons, the functioning of rights and prescription. The second part includes the subject matter of litigation, conclusion, distinctions, defects and representation.
