Description

Description

In Aesop's land, which had forests and meadows, rivers and lakes, mountains and seas, lived Aesop himself. From the window of his house, he watched small and large animals discussing, arguing, celebrating, feeling happy, and getting angry.

Then he would take his feather, dip it in ink, and every time a new story would fill the paper. This is how it happened with the Lion when he caught the Mouse with a piece of cheese pie in its hand. How did he treat it, and what did the mouse do afterward?

Read an excerpt

The State of Aesop had forests and meadows, rivers and lakes, mountains and seas. Large and small animals lived on trees, under trees, inside the earth, among rocks or bushes. They flew high in the sky or swam among the seaweed. In the forest, inside a cave, lived the Lion. Every morning, small and large animals left plates and trays with all kinds of food and sweets at his doorstep. They wanted to please the king of the forest, and he enjoyed it. As soon as he woke up, he took all these delicacies into his home and ate without stopping. One day, the Mouse, who was very hungry, smelled the cheese pie that the Badger had offered to the Lion.
