Description

Description

The pot from Fissler is made of stainless steel, a material particularly resistant to high temperatures, which heats up very quickly and can maintain the temperature for a longer time compared to aluminum pots. Additionally, it retains moisture for perfect flavor preservation and does not have a non-stick coating, so a considerable amount of oil is needed during cooking to prevent food from sticking to the bottom. Finally, it is compatible with all stovetops, including induction, and thanks to its material, the pot is also suitable for oven cooking.

CookStar Base

Exclusive, energy-efficient Cookstar base for optimal absorption, distribution, and retention of heat.

Large Pouring Lip

Easy and precise pouring and transferring of liquids, without unwanted drips.

Metal handles

With ergonomic handles made of metal. They fit perfectly in the hand and ensure a pleasant temperature.

Internal measurement scale

With integrated measurement indicators that facilitate the measurement of liquids.

Dishwasher Safe

Easy to clean as it is dishwasher safe.

Other features:

  • Material: 18/10 stainless steel
  • Suitable for all stovetops: gas, induction, electric, ceramic
  • Oven safe up to 230°C
  • Diameter: 20cm

This review is about the capacity: 2.6 lt

I have the whole series because I really like their design and that's why I overlook the negatives. I think all pots in this category cook the same. The negatives are that it collects a lot of steam and when you open the lid everything spills out (Fissler presents this as a cooking advantage, I don't know why) and also after a while, e.g. cooking meat, the handles get hot. You need gloves. Even though you shouldn't have to

Excellent pot, deep, so the food doesn't splash out and I have plenty of space for comfortable cooking, of excellent quality. I do not regret the cost. Even though it doesn't have a non-stick coating, which always gets ruined after a while, the food, at least for what I use it for, doesn't stick. I enjoy it and I recommend it.

This review is about the capacity: 2.6 lt

The review concerns the quality-price ratio. These specific pots are advertised for their excellent performance on ceramic hobs. I replaced a 40-year-old PAL pot and there is no difference (maybe the Fissler has lower performance). And it doesn't differ from any other cookware I have, none of which exceeded 40 euros.

The lid, on the other hand, is annoying. It is supposed to do something with the liquids to keep the food juicy. Marketing. What it actually does is that since it is recessed and there is no peripheral wall, if you are not careful when lifting and tilting the lid, the liquids fall onto the hob.

It is a good pot but not worth the money.
