"The Art of War" is the first known treatise on the planning and conduct of military operations, written approximately 2,500 years ago. "The art of war is a matter of vital importance to the state. It is essentially a matter of life and death, a path leading to prosperity or destruction. Therefore, it is necessary to study it in depth.
For this reason, your assessments should take into account five key factors and make a comparison of the seven elements named below.
The five factors are: (1) Moral influence. (2) Weather. (3) Terrain. (4) Command. (5) Management.
By the term 'moral influence,' I mean that which makes people be in harmony with their leaders, so that they follow them in life and death, without hesitation in the face of any danger."
About Sun Tzu
We know very little about the Chinese warrior and philosopher Sun Tzu (544-496 BC) and his life during the "Warring States Period," after the decline of the Zhou dynasty. It is speculated that he was born in the state of Qi – today's Shandong province, on the northern coast of China. From 512 BC, he served in the Kingdom of Wu as a general and military advisor. His military successes led him to write The Art of War, one of the most important and fundamental works of Chinese literature over the last 2,500 years.
