If for 6 months I was formatting trying to find out what was wrong with the PC and finally after 3 years I realized that this particular drive was to blame.

I have been using this SSD for 1 and a half year now and I have put it in 3 different builds in this 1 year it's very reliable and worth the money I bought it for only 50€

Just search on Google "kingston SNV2S500G 100% usage" and you will understand why I am generously giving it 2 stars, the problem is widely known, especially with the 500GB model but also with others. I have had it for two years, using it as a main drive with W11. In the first six months, it started freezing with disk usage reaching 100%, at first momentarily, then more and more frequently and for longer durations. Format, and after six months the same thing again. Format, and after three months the same thing again. Now, I use it as an external and found peace with an old SATA SSD (850 EVO) that I had parked in the drawer...

This particular SSD has proven to be good in general, I have been using it for quite some time on OS WINDOWS 11. In general, it runs as it should, it handles games without problems, it might have something to do with generally slow boot time on AM5. It takes about 2.5 minutes to boot into Windows. But there is also the content memory restore from the BIOS which helps with boot time.

Very good and reliable, after a year it has no problems. Of course, it makes no sense to waste PCIe 4 since the speeds work on PCIe 3 as well

After 1 year it malfunctioned, it freezes, it takes a very long time to open files to a worrying degree, resulting in me taking my files and replacing it.

Very good and reliable. For my needs, it is satisfactory. Easy installation and Windows 11 loads in 4 seconds.

I've had it for almost a week. Terrible, what can I say, I thought it was defective at first, until I saw other reviews with similar problems, I don't know what to do, maybe I'll return it to the store if skroutz accepts it and get a more expensive one with DRAM. Avoid!!!! Write speed very low, and I tried it on 2 different computers and got the same results.

Very fast SSD, everything opens much faster and finally I download games with greater speed from Steam because it can read the files in time.

I got one for myself and one for a friend. Very good value for money, it works just fine in terms of speeds.

I haven't had it for long, but so far it is exactly what one would expect. Fast and reliable. The use I make is casual. I have it for the OS and the games that benefit from the high read speed. It hasn't caused me any problems.

Incredible nvme, the speeds it advertises are real and truly an amazing price. I have used an SSD from the same company and it was flawless, for this reason I trusted it and bought again. 1tb for €50 I believe there is nothing better on the market!

I have had it for about 2 years and the disk is flying.. Personally, I got the version with 500gb because my budget was limited but in the next build I will definitely grab the 1tb..

The disk is one of the most economical options on the market for nvme pcie gen 4, with write and read speeds identical to those advertised.
It has been purchased 2 times, once as an internal storage disk for various types of files, and once as an external one with a ugreen case. In both uses, it does exactly what it is designed to do, flawlessly.

After a considerable amount of use, I have to say that this particular SSD is the best thing I could have gotten!!

I bought 10 of these disks in November 2022. 8 of them freeze the system and I have lost a tremendous amount of data.

Purchase 11/23/2022. The drive started to slow down excessively until it stopped writing and reading. I had it as storage along with another LEXAR 2TB filled to 60%. The PC would start after 3-4 interruptions with the power supply button. I thought the motherboard or the power supply was damaged, but the freeze was caused by the Kingston with its "slowness." Get something better... it's a shame for Kingston to release such "duds" on the market; it will go back with its warranty.

The lifespan limit of the TBW is very small, as well as the short warranty, 3 years.

I am rewriting the entire review from the beginning.
-DO NOT- buy this drive if you want to store important files. If you want a drive to throw games on, it’s perfect.
For its price (don’t pay more than €85 for this junk) it has quite good read speeds but the writes, oh my God, my hair will fall out.
It writes and then after a while it stops working. 0 /bytes, 100% usage while doing nothing. I have the latest firmware that the (ugly) program has me download, and it continues to crawl. This all started happening about 8 months after I bought it. CrystalDiskInfo & HardDiskSentinel tell me everything is fine.

Amazing speed and responsiveness. Direct new installation of Windows 11, it worked immediately without partition or initialization. I haven't exceeded 20% of the capacity, if anything changes I will update.

Fast and at 4 TB it is exactly what I needed for storage space, I am satisfied, it does its job. All good

I had it as a second one, it did its job just fine but it didn't take long to start lagging until it finally gave up, it might have been a coincidence but I see others with this problem too, personally I wouldn't risk it again, better to spend 10-20 euros more for something better than to end up having to pay for a whole new one after a while

If you are interested in a laptop, NO. The positive thing is that it reaches the speeds it promises. I didn't read the reviews well and wasted my money. In laptop placement, it reaches 69 degrees at idle without any read and write. As I put it in, I will take it out. The disk will not withstand such temperatures. On the other hand, if you want to put it in a desktop, I believe it will be fine if it is hit by air from a fan. In conclusion, a decent value for money choice, but stay away if you want it for a laptop. I will look towards Crucial as a replacement.

Fast and reliable at this price. In the system I have, its performance and speed have not decreased. I do not use the software. I use it as a secondary drive mainly for games.

Now in winter with the cold, temperatures range from 40°C - 44°C with the be quiet! cooler. It hasn't given me any problems (yet), but I don't know guys, I'm not very confident in the drive. Time will tell...

INITIAL REVIEW:
Temperatures easily reach 60+ during the summer in a well-ventilated case on a motherboard with PCI-X 3.0 x4. I had to install a cooler (be quiet! MC1) and the temperatures dropped by 10°C, but they are still very high at idle. If it gets stressed, where will they go?
As for reliability, we'll see in due time. I'll come back if needed.

I installed it on the PC. I don't really care about the speeds; personally, it seems fast to me. I've had it for 1 year and it has no issues.

Very vfm choice I built my pc with this 1tb ssd in January and since then until today it hasn't given me any issues very good and fast I recommend it 100000 percent
