New direct ventilation system (DVS) with zippers (2 chest intake vents and 2 back exhaust vents) for effective rider climate control. Hidden cord ensures the opening remains open at the rider's chosen position.
Removable CE Level 1 Nucleon Flex Plus certified protectors on shoulders and elbows.
Special slots for optional CE Level 2 certified Nucleon back and chest protectors.
Reinforced polymer pads on elbow and forearm for additional abrasion resistance and protection.
Reflective graphics and logos to ensure the rider is visible even in extremely low visibility conditions.

The three stars with which I rate the jacket are based on the comparison I make with the previous model, which I had in my possession for many years.

NEGATIVES
1. They have downgraded the protectors from level 2 to level 1.
2. You do not have the option to remove the protectors and put better ones, because they are sewn into the lining.
3. The plastic hook on the left shoulder to keep the collar open is useless because it is too close and with the slightest movement it comes loose and sticks out in front of your chin like a spoiler.
4. The winter lining, although warm and of good quality, is not sufficiently attached along its entire perimeter (as the previous model was with a zipper and at the top), resulting in it slightly coming out of place when putting it on and taking it off.
5. The central zipper is of good quality, but in its position (between the two corduras) it is not so easy to close, especially if you are wearing gloves.
6. The front zipper is not two-way and only opens from the top, so when traveling in summer you do not have the ventilation you had with the previous model. Also, the front cordura of the zipper was split into two pieces and the top part could be folded and left open with a snap, so even when traveling at high speeds it would not flap.

POSITIVES
1. It has much better quality on its peripheral zippers.
2. It has several spacious pockets and one waterproof pocket. Two zippered vents have been added in front of the armpits.
3. Very good quality of the outer cordura, which also has a waterproof membrane inside.

In conclusion, I believe that the negatives I mentioned are details that make the difference in a jacket from a top company. I wonder why they downgraded their product...
Unless they wanted, in this way, to promote the other more expensive model they have (the Bogota), which has all the features that were removed from the Andes.
However, it has a much slimmer fit and that was the reason I did not buy it.

The jacket is super, for the price it had at 180 euros I don't think it has any competition and with the guarantee of Alpinestars. I wore it in the countryside in central Macedonia with 2 degrees outside, for over 1 hour and I didn't feel anything, neither cold nor moisture. I highly recommend it

I have had the jacket for four years of daily use. Many times, due to its ventilation, I wear it in the summer by removing the lining. It has good ventilation even though the waterproof membrane stays on. It is a very good jacket. After the third year, it started to let moisture in the sleeves where it bends from movement at the elbows, and this happens after a long time in the rain. It is warm at 5 degrees with a shirt underneath, it's just fine. If you wear a thicker shirt, you won't notice anything. After three years, where there is friction on the sleeves, it shows wear. Clearly, it has lost its color due to the sun, but this shows that it has been used a lot. It has many pockets, two of which also act as air vents in the heat. It also has two vents on the back. It has three fully waterproof pockets. On the negative side, like all branded jackets nowadays, the protectors are of the flex type. I don't hold them in high regard. I put in old-style Dainese ones. At 225, which I bought it for, it is worth it and more. This year it went up to 300, and I bought it again on sale for 220. One of the best and most honest jackets for that money. VFM.
