In recent years, there has been an increasing interest in Greece for learning the Russian language and getting acquainted with Russian culture. As a result, various books on the Russian language have been published. However, there is a lack of manuals containing idiomatic expressions in the Russian language. This book aims to fill this gap.
This specific manual includes 1,600 idiomatic expressions in the Russian language, accompanied by their corresponding expressions in Greek. These expressions were selected based on their common usage in everyday speech, print and electronic media, as well as literary works. The expressions are presented in thematic units and are related to the body, animals, colors, place names, and personal names. The book is complemented by a small appendix of Russian-Greek idiomatic expression dictionaries.
This textbook is suitable for teaching Russian language students, as well as adults who wish to learn Russian as a second foreign language. Finally, it is recommended for the compilation of Russian-Greek idiomatic expression dictionaries.
