Introductory books on Educational Science are not missing from Greek literature. However, what does not seem to be promoted is Greek pedagogical thought and practice. Not that science has borders. Such a view would be mistaken.
Social Sciences, however, have a specific frame of reference, and in this sense, their findings and observations are temporally and spatially defined. For this reason, the unexamined acceptance and 'transplantation' of foreign pedagogical concepts and ideas have often harmed the Greek school and led to unforeseen educational side effects.
This book, apart from presenting modern academic knowledge, attempts to connect this knowledge with the Greek reality and to promote the Greek pedagogical dialogue in relation to the educational system of the changing Greek society.
