A prominent figure of modern Greek literature, Titos Patrikios is one of the most significant post-war poets. Throughout his writing spectrum (poems, narratives, translations, essays), he consistently adheres to the principles, both political and poetic, that govern his life and art, constituting his personal value code.
Through poetry, the art that has been his destiny, he contemplates, evolves, and revises. He turns to the past to analyze and reinterpret it with his multifaceted experience, constantly keeping an eye on the present and the future.
The book is based on the poet's conversations with George Archimandrite, from 2007 to 2020, material that was enriched until its publication in November 2022. My poems emerge from my stance towards life. Once my poems exist, they impose a stance on me in relation to life.
