Description

Hitler could not help but succeed. He resolved this contradiction. He replaced the vague, elusive freedom to determine social life with the ancient, easily digestible illusion of national freedom. He asked for no responsibility - on the contrary, he promised that everything would come from above and that he alone would change the system. And the upheaval took place, almost solely driven by a rough character like Hitler.

The broader the scope of the problem, the more easily the passivity of the masses could be exploited. What won over the masses was not Hitler's economic program. In his daily propaganda, what brought him victory was the enhancement of German self-esteem through intense racist propaganda, the war he declared against 'world Judaism,' and the strong appeal to the authoritarian family.

An exceedingly timely analysis of the phenomenon of fascism.
