Description

The unnatural beauty and its implications in a world that does not seem so distant in a series of books that will leave you speechless! The series has won 22 awards and accolades and has been loved by millions of readers around the world.

Tally lives in a world where turning sixteen brings aesthetic perfection. All sixteen-year-olds undergo a surgery that removes all imperfections, transforming them from ugly to beautiful. As her birthday approaches, she anticipates this significant event that will change her life.

Her only problem is her friend, Shay, who does not want to become beautiful, does not want to obey the laws of the state, and plans to join the rebels in the forest, where all the ugly people go to escape the surgery. Tally does not want to follow her and sacrifice her dream.

However, just before the surgery, state officials interrogate her and offer her the worst choice she could imagine. To find Shay, discover where the rebels are hiding, and betray them… The time has come for her to make the biggest decision of her life. A decision that will forever change her world.

Summer had just begun, and the sky had a color

that resembled cat vomit. Of course, Tali thought, to achieve these pinkish hues, you would need to feed your cat only salmon-flavored cat food for a while. Anyway, the clouds

as they moved looked a bit like fish, because as the wind blurred them

it was as if they had scales. As the daylight faded, large dark blue pieces of the night appeared through the gaps between them, like an upside-down ocean, endless and icy.

Any other summer, such a sunset would be beautiful

. But since Perry became handsome, nothing seemed beautiful to her. It's terrible to lose your best friend, even if only for three months and two days.

Tali Youngbland waited for it to get dark. From her open window, she could see the Neighborhood of the New

Beautiful. The amusement towers had already been lit up, and the lit torches formed bright paths in the amusement gardens. In the pink sky, which was gradually darkening,

some hot air balloons tied with ropes swayed,

whose passengers threw safety fireworks at other balloons and passing parachutes with parasailing.

Laughter and music slid over the water like stones

that were thrown with the right angle and scraped Tali's nerves with their hard edges.

  • First of all, it's one of the few times I would choose the new covers. Those of you who are new fans, you are lucky in my opinion.

As for the book, I had read it for the first time in the second grade of middle school, and while I always finished what I read, for some reason I delayed this one (13 years).

I think with the development of social media, it is more relevant now than when it was published. It is a dystopia that reminds me a bit of Hunger Games and Maze Runner (both of which are my favorite trilogies) and it doesn't tire the reader.

Perhaps a bit predictable in some parts, for those who have read similar novels, but definitely not as predictable and the continuation of the tetralogy.

I recommend it to all ages, especially teenagers.
