When the geology professor Lindenbrock discovered the parchment that fell from a seven-hundred-year-old book, he set out to decipher it, certain that it held something significant. His nephew, Axel, helped him with its incomprehensible message, and they eventually found out who had left it behind. It was a map by Arne Saknussemm, a famous alchemist of the 16th century, which would lead them to the center of the Earth.

They prepared for their extraordinary journey and set off. They crossed seas and lands, entered bottomless wells and dark tunnels, and encountered strange creatures, following the path of Saknussemm. When they returned, all these strange experiences became a book that was translated into all languages. What a wonderful journey!

The French novelist Jules Verne is considered the father of science fiction, as he predicted many technological achievements of modern science at a time when none of the things he wrote about existed. "Journey to the Center of the Earth" was first published in 1864 and is one of his most famous works.
