The visual or plastic arts, as they are alternatively referred to, representing the `beautiful` of ancient Greece in `place and time`, encompass an uninterrupted sequence of centuries. They form an organic element of our timelessness.

They are anchored in the Neolithic Era and end in the year 30 B.C.; the year of the dissolution of the last Hellenistic kingdom (the conquest of Alexandria by the Romans). In between, they experienced unparalleled prosperity in the sacred city of the Muses during the Classical Era (5th and 4th centuries B.C.), when `Athens`, this city-state, was called `the Museum of Greece`, `the Greece of Greece`, `the support of Greece`, `the prytaneion of Greece`.

This peak period was accompanied by an absolute obsession, by common consent, with the cultivation of the value of beauty. This is indeed its glory!
