The presence, in recent years, of a large number of foreign students in the Greek school system has shaped a new educational situation, which is the subject of extensive discussions and sometimes disputes.
This book presents precisely this overview and analysis of the current reality, always in relation to the educational process, particularly in the area of everyday school practice. It examines the characteristics of the Greek multicultural reality, and specifically the presence of foreigners in our country and in our educational system.
Additionally, some general methodological proposals for the Greek school, primarily at the primary education level, are presented: it is a framework of theoretical principles related to the teaching process and the orientations of the school, based on specific positions derived from critical-communicative theory.
