I got it as a gift for someone who insisted that the simple Powerlock is better than the Tylon. I tried it before wrapping it in the gift box.
So, comparison with the Tylon, which I gave 5 stars despite the one unique disadvantage I found.
The Blade Armor doesn't seem better than the Tylon; the tape already has marks from wrapping and unwrapping both at the end with the Blade Armor and on the rest of the measure with Mylar. It doesn't lock in the open position of the brake. It breaks at 260 instead of 240 of the Tylon (190 for both if you hold it vertically to the ground). While it has a suitable squared shape for indoor measurements, it writes the block size in inches (2½ inches = 6.35 centimeters) on top. I opened it to 260 to test where it breaks, and the rewind mechanism started to creak.
I don't think it's as good as the cheaper Tylon, except for a single block above the three rivets that hold the end in place (as opposed to Tylon's three plain rivets or the two rivets that other measures have). It barely reaches the simple yellow plastic of Stanley. For the same money, you can get two Tylons or a metal Fatmax Xtreme which I think has stopped production.

As a matter of fact, this probably changes from batch to batch.
