In 1982, Markos Simotas - a young bohemian lawyer, son of a executed hero of the National Resistance - is appointed by Andreas Papandreou as Governor on the island of Agios. He goes to the colony with the sole ambition to spend three carefree years. Until he falls in love and identifies his fate with that of the island.
Thirty years later, his son traces his path, trying to put himself in his place and unravel the mystery of a lost child.
