For me, this book started very slowly. I struggled to get into the flow and needed patience until the halfway point. I felt it was taking too long to get to the essence and wondered if it would eventually absorb me. However… from the halfway point onwards, it won me over. The plot began to ignite, the characters started to show depth, and I finally felt that the story was giving me what I expected.

And the ending? Completely shocking. I didn’t see it coming and it left me staring at the last chapter with my mouth agape. If you love drama, emotional tensions, dragons (obviously), and a heroine who never gives up, The Iron Flame will definitely reward you — as long as you give it a little time to "ignite."

Definitely not an easy book that will make you relax, but it will surely hook you from the very first pages, and by the end of the book, you will want the next one immediately. It ends with a very strong pivotal point, and you can feel lucky that the next book in the series is out, and you can continue right away.

Stunning book! Definitely one of those that is worth reading once in your life. The sequel is even better and personally, I liked it just as much as the first book in the series. The action scenes are out of this world and here we get to know the characters of the series better and bond more with them. I can't get enough of dragons, war schools, and breath-taking twists. Get ready because the ending leaves you in a very bad place and you'll want to grab the next one immediately. This series has definitely stood out and already has many devoted readers all over the world. Don't hesitate for a second to start it if you haven't already. I promise you won't regret it.
I really liked the chemistry between the protagonists and the scenes with the dragons and their interactions. The way the author ties the relationship between dragons and humans is amazing, and all the strategies she uses for the plot development are brilliant. Also, get ready for theories. Many theories. Theories that will keep you up at night and in all of them, in a magical way, you will always be wrong. These books are an experience and I recommend them to everyone, men and women, as long as you are over 18.

Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros is the second book in The Empyrean series, continuing the story of Violet Sorrengail, a young woman training as a dragon rider at Basgiath War College. The series combines elements of romantic fantasy with intense action and political intrigue.

After the events of Fourth Wing, Violet returns to Basgiath War College for her second year of training. She faces new challenges, such as the presence of the new deputy commander, Major Burton Varrish, who seeks to subdue her. Meanwhile, she discovers that her brother, Brennan, is alive and leading a secret rebellion against the Venin, a dark threat that the kingdom of Navarre is trying to conceal. Violet, along with her allies, tries to uncover the truth and protect the kingdom from impending destruction.

The book was full of action, shocking revelations, and an indescribable ending. So I suggest, as if my life depends on it, to have procured 'Onyx Storm' before finishing the iron flame. Rebecca Yarros manages to create a rich world with complex characters and intense emotional moments, while we finally begin to see more characters having time and space gradually in the story. Although it's not my favorite in the series so far, it's a book I enjoyed and more! Definitely read the series

it is a dystopian book with fantastic content and dragons and is part of the anticipated 5-word Empyrean. Violet has been preparing her whole life to become a scribe on the day of the "allocation" at the age of 20, unlike her siblings and mother who are successful dragon riders and can harness magic to protect the continent and the kingdom. Violet believes she is too sensitive and fragile to enter the Riders' war school; however, her mother has other plans, and so she goes through the trials and survives, reaching the school where she will be trained to become the most powerful Rider or die trying. Each Rider has their own dragon and their own unique magic signet. There she meets Xaden, her wingleader commander and deadly enemy, as he is the son of the rebel who tried to threaten the peace of the Kingdom, killed her brother, and was sentenced to death as a traitor while Xaden and the children of all the rebels were marked to stand out and made an agreement to enter the Riders' school and serve their homeland, if they survive. The book is incredibly well-written to the point that every single page counts and has so much to tell you. The dialogues are very clever and flow very pleasantly, while the characters, especially the dragons about which we learn a lot, are some of the best characters in the book. The whole book has vibes of Divergent, Maze Runner, a little Harry Potter, and I loved it! Honestly, I can't recommend it enough, even to those who don't read fantasy; it will enchant them!

I start to write to you about the book that I loved and it was a fair and terrible continuation of the first one without losing any of the glory of the first. In the second book of the Empyrean series, everything has changed, we are now in the second year of Basgiath where, as Xaden says, most lose their humanity. In the first half, we learn a lot about the world-building, the war college, the dragons, and the signets while we see the revolution taking shape in Aretia. I really enjoyed the sexual tension and the eroticism in the book between the protagonists while I appreciated the development of both the main and secondary characters. Once again, the dragons were amazing and very humorous! The book is a complete, shocking, and powerful sequel while I can't wait for the third one as it leaves us on a terrible cliffhanger ?. Many of my questions, many theories circulating, and I hope Rebecca will get us out of our misery soon! Although so far we have 2 out of the 5 books, the series is expected to be epic and definitely one of my top reads?️
