Description

This book addresses a very timely and controversial topic in Education and Pedagogy: Collaborative Teaching and Learning.

It is a theoretical study aimed at highlighting the collaborative movement as a fundamental component of innovation for 21st-century schools. A movement that seeks to pull schools out of the deadlock and stagnation they are in, to create a new school culture based on different principles and values necessary for the future citizen, establishing the school of tomorrow, not yesterday.

This monograph attempts to conceptually define the most commonly used terms, examines the issue of transitioning from traditional classrooms to collaborative ones, provides a historical overview of the movement, justifies its necessity, presents the main objectives, the role of the educator, as well as the dominant models of collaborative teaching and learning, and develops the epistemological views and distinctions, the benefits, and finally the attitudes of educators towards the collaborative approach.
