Cosmopor® Transparent Transparent Dressing-Film with Absorbent Wound Secretion Layer.

The Cosmopor® Transparent is an adhesive dressing of transparent film with a central absorbent wound dressing. It consists of a semi-permeable, waterproof, and transparent polyurethane film coated with polyacrylate adhesive.

The wound dressing is made from viscose fiber and covered with a polyethylene mesh that serves as a non-adhesive wound contact layer.

Use

• In postoperative care for lightly exuding wounds
• As protection against bacterial penetration
• As a dressing for minor injuries

Application

Clean the application area thoroughly and ensure that the skin is dry and free from creams and ointments. Open the package and remove the dressing. Cosmopor® Transparent is protected by four membranes, which are numbered from 1 to 4 in the order of application. Loosen the protective membranes 1 and 2 slightly. Then place the adhesive side with the wound dressing over the wound. Ensure that the wound dressing completely covers the wound. Completely remove the protective membranes 1 and 2 and press the film gently. This way, adjust the film to the body's contours. Remove the protective membrane 3. Then remove the protective membrane 4 and press the dressing gently onto the skin. Cosmopor® Transparent can be removed almost painlessly by stretching the material. To do this, loosen one corner and carefully pull the dressing off.
