This volume expands on the themes of the volume "Theoretical Discourse and Political Practices in Evaluation Processes". It arose from the scientific need to present scientific and legislative developments in the thematic unit of Evaluation. Thus, it highlights Reasons for Evaluation, political transformations, interpretative frameworks, continuities or discontinuities, as well as conflicting or negotiation environments, which are primarily activated in the educational space.
The collective volume examines issues related to the Evaluation of structures, services, and political practices. Theoretical interpretative approaches focus on contemporary analytical frameworks for Evaluation, with an emphasis on competitive schools of thought. Attention is primarily given to Evaluation in education, so that educational discourse can be linked to political intent and the construction of knowledge. Evaluation as a theory and process is approached in a multi-productive manner, so that the concept can be defined within the analytical categories of modernization, the technocratic perception of politics, and the economic cultural interpretations of meritocracy.
In the field of qualitative and quantitative research, issues of legislation are analyzed as political discourse and are related to the modeling of the application of Evaluation in education. The studies included in the volume are distinguished by the internalization of the culture of Evaluation as an educational policy description in correspondence with the inter-action of the educational community, which manages structural constraints and structural possibilities in real structures, in educational environments.
