Description

Description

The one-act play is a monologue of the tragic hero from almost the beginning to the end, skillfully divided into eight progressively intensifying scenes, arranged in ascending order of anxiety.

It tells the story of a Black man who seeks refuge on a Caribbean island where he ends up dominating the natives in the same way that white British and American colonists did. Our hero will murder another man while playing dice, be sentenced, escape, and ultimately become the governor.

The theme running through the work is the racist practices and prejudices that often do not even have the different as their recipient.
