- Loosen the round protective cap on a lancet by turning the cap 1/4 turn, but do not remove the cap.
- Insert the lancet firmly into the lancing device until it stops completely.
- Rotate the round protective cover of the lancet.
- Store the cap for disposal of the used needle.
- Remove and dispose of the used lancet.
