I want to give a shout-out to the author for what they managed to capture on the pages of this book! It has been a long time since I was so moved, and to be honest, I didn't expect it either. I am not an avid reader and I always choose books based on friends' comments. Now I understand why this book is in almost every display window. Sharp writing, nice vocabulary, different perspectives in each chapter, and a big shock! A deeply social novel!

If our eyes were misty with Stefanos Alexiadis' "Winged Sandals," our soul wept with "Oimogi"! I was supposed to read it over the weekend... I finished it Friday night!
I started to flip through it and it captivated me so much that I couldn't put it down for another day...
Incredibly dynamic plot, "a punch to the stomach" the wounds of the heroes, unpredictable ending, and a sweet note from the sandals and little Phoebus...
The writing style is so simple, understandable, and beautiful that it never tires you.

Wonderful book. Exciting, reads quickly but not entirely easily, as it deals with difficult topics. In the end, it leaves a strong sweet taste with hints of bitterness and vindication. Very sharp, accurate representation of a dark side of society.

From the beginning to the last page, the book captivates the reader in the depths of the human soul. The author, from the very first sentence, begins to create a dark plot that unfolds masterfully until it ultimately escalates! The contrasts, as well as the similarities, between the characters, places, emotions, and decisions contribute to the realism and create invisible lines of a web that provoke alertness. Stefanos Alexiadis, with his 《Oimogi》, has managed to create a well-written and shocking psychosocial thriller, which as a lover of the genre, I wholeheartedly recommend.

I couldn't put it down! The author "wove" the plot in such a unique way that until the last pages you think you know what happened, but the twists are incredible. I recommend it 100% to everyone, and even more to those who don't particularly engage with literature and novels because I am sure that with this book they will change their mind!

A remarkable book that changed my opinion about Greek writers. Page turner, interesting with deep messages and a highly careful approach to the subject of autism. I recommend it!

Description & Specifications

Oimogí means cry. A heart-wrenching cry. A thunderous cry.

However, there are times when cries become synonymous with silence. A death that sows quiet. Heroes who hide the past, deny the present, and ignore the future.

A calm that prevails for just a little while, just enough that it cannot hold back the coming storm. Who said that a mother cannot kill? And if she kills, does she cease to bear this quality?

Words, promises, and secrets shake the ground. A ground that collapses, and then she arrives. The OIMOGI.
