When we think about what the future may hold for us, there are so many possibilities, so many opportunities, so much room for growth. However, along with these, there can also be a lot of fear, anxiety, and concern. Fear takes the form of internal questions asking what will happen if things don’t go the way I want? Or what if I fail? Or even why can’t I see what I want? As we take this step, I will ask you to leave behind fear, anxiety, and concern. Just set them aside. Right now, the only thing you need to do is follow me so that we can make the eye of your mind (your imagination) see your future and replace fear with enthusiasm. Before we begin, I think it’s worth reminding ourselves of the following: manifesting is not just about attracting “things” into our lives or about making our lives look a certain way to others. No, it’s about creating a life that makes us feel satisfied and complete, that allows us to experience joy, enthusiasm, and love. The key is to reach the heart of what will bring you these feelings.
I recently organized a workshop, and during the Q&A session, a woman asked me, “How will I be able to understand what I want? Sometimes I can’t tell the difference between what I really want and what I think I should want.” I understand. It’s so easy to get trapped in the idea that we all have to want the same thing. We may feel pressured to say or feel that we want to get married and have children, to live happily ever after with one person, or that we want to have an impressive professional title that is particularly demanding but offers a six-figure income and a company car.
