2023 was the hottest year in history. Extreme weather events and their effects will intensify in the coming years. For Greece, this means that one third of its territory is threatened by desertification. In the face of this danger, our country remains unprotected.

Which political forces are opposing each other and what do they propose for how to tackle the climate crisis? What are the challenges for Greece and Europe? What are the limits of growth?

Is it possible to move economies away from fossil fuels and ensure safe, cheap, and clean energy? Environmental collapse, social inequalities, labor insecurity, and energy poverty must be addressed with radical interventions.

The goal is climate, social, and intergenerational justice. A fair green deal that guarantees the transition to a new era, especially for those who have the least responsibility for the climate crisis, who are exposed to the greatest damages and losses, and who lack the ability to address energy poverty and social exclusion.
