Description

When two ruthless thieves steal the bottle of an innocent baby, they are sure that they will never have to answer for their heinous act. However, they underestimate the baby, who is determined to find the stolen bottle and punish the culprits. Yes. The baby is not afraid! The baby does not hesitate!

The baby defies the raging wind! It defies the heavy hail! Ignoring its mother's pleas, it crawls out of the house and takes the downhill path to the notorious port, where pirates and escaped convicts gather, where lurking suspicious penguins and merciless donut thieves await, where criminals roam with their collars turned up and their pockets full of canaries and stolen piggy banks.

The fearless baby will confront Charlie the Clever with his crooked parting and Pete the Dandruff, who has stolen an orchestra. It will defeat Babis the Bougatsa, the former wrestler with the fierce face, it will face Jim the Grabber, the terror of casinos, and a thousand and two others, until it locates the inaccessible hideout of the villains and through unspeakable dangers claims back its stolen bottle.

A story that is read with bated breath, biting nails in anxiety. A story that anyone who enjoys it will never look at a bottle (or a rattle) the same way again.

  • Many kilograms of misery gathered in one book. And just when you're reading and thinking it can't get any worse, you see the illustrations and your mind explodes. Slang, prisoners, and conspiracy. Unacceptable.

  • I admit that it is my 5-year-old daughter's favorite book for the past year. And she has countless books. She has memorized it word for word. It stimulates her imagination like no other. Trivizas' storytelling and the illustrations are incredible. However, I would say that the subject matter is a bit "far-fetched" and advanced for this age group (maybe even for much older ones), and every time we read it, I wonder if it is appropriate. The references to dirt, thieves, murderers, dolls asking for money, etc. divide me. That's why I try to make it overly comedic so that unpleasant images and negative influences do not pass on to the child. If it were a movie, it would easily be Lars von Trier's.

  • I am the most suitable to speak about this book. I have had it for 2 years and I read it daily at least 2 times a day to my daughter, who is now addicted to it. She can't sleep without hearing it! It has a very rich vocabulary where even the slightest word mentioned is already depicted. Incredible and highly comprehensive illustrations. (My daughter is now 3.5 years old)

A good fairy tale that gives you the opportunity to explain to the child that the world is not always good everywhere. I am used to happier and funnier versions of the author's work, I believe he has written much better fairy tales. It was somewhat abrupt, I would say, presenting a brave baby who confronts all the bad guys (murderers, thieves, etc. in a casino, in a bar, etc.). I consider all these questions that arise and the information that needs to be given as answers unnecessary (for the preschool age), such as "what is a murderer mom, what is a thief, what is a gun, what is a bazooka, etc."

In the end, I'm not sure if children nowadays need to have so much courage in the face of so much evil, let them have courage in other things.

Otherwise, he is undoubtedly a truly wonderful author, outstanding in children's and teenage books since we have countless books by him
