The new edition of the volume Poems includes the poems of Seferis that were in the eponymous book published from 1972 to the present. Additionally, for the first time, the poems from the Notebook of Exercises b’ are incorporated. The editor of the volume, Dimitris Daskalopoulos, followed the publishing principles of G.P. Savvidis, as they are formulated in the editions of the Poems and the Notebook of Exercises b up to now. The notes of G.P. Savvidis were revised with the necessary additions, deletions, mergers, and consolidations. The new edition of Seferis's poems coincides with the fiftieth anniversary of the poet's Nobel Prize award, offering readers the opportunity to connect with his main poetic output and to mutually assess the various branches of his sometimes allusive and sometimes unexpectedly playful character.
