This interpretative, intermedial, and inter-artistic approach is an organic continuation of the thesis titled, Literature and Painting. Towards an Interpretation of Inter-Artistic (Re)Presentation. With reference points to both intermediate amendments concerning the relevance of literary texts and artistic works, and philosophical and aesthetic issues that illuminate the interpretative dimension of this relevance, I turn here to the field of Modern Greek poetry in the post-war years.

I formulate an interpretative scheme for the intensive, sculptural quality of words in poetry, arguing specifically for analogous aspects of the poetic works of Giannis Ritsos, Miltos Sakhtouris, Takis Sinopoulos, and Eleni Vakalo, starting from the Captain's Diary, Vol. III of George Seferis.
