They are not worth the money for any reason
I would have been better off putting logs on my feet..

As an owner of the Speedgoat 4 and 5, and after many kilometers of mountain running with the above, I was completely disappointed with the new Speedgoat 6. I will focus on two points. The first is subjective and concerns the hardness of the sole. The Speedgoat 6 is harder and the shock absorption is not comparable to the previous models. Anyone who preferred them for this reason should get something else. The second issue is not a matter of preference but a manufacturing error or poor design. On the outside of the shoe at the ankle area (I attach the spot in the photo), the shoe hits the ankle. Especially on steep downhills, with every step it hits the ankle. On the first (and only) run, I barely managed to return home, as I was in a lot of pain after the first two downhill kilometers. I contacted the GEORGIADIS PEAK STORE where I bought them and, as expected, they could not take them back because I had used them. Absolutely reasonable. I asked if I could report it to the company and if I could take any other action, and the gentleman I spoke to said I wouldn’t achieve anything and insisted on not understanding that it was a problem with the shoe and not a matter of preference or liking. I also explained to him that the problem only appears when running on the mountain, especially on steep downhills, and he kept repeating that I should have 'walked' in them a bit at home. After so many pairs of HOKA Speedgoat 4 and 5 specifically, and quite a few TECHNIKA as well, I declare myself completely dissatisfied with the Speedgoat 6 and consider them unacceptable and unsuitable, as I have NEVER encountered such a problem with any other trail shoe. I urge you to be cautious!! Personally, I will do everything in my power according to the law to 'bother' the manufacturer as I consider it purely a manufacturing error.
I am returning to inform you that the store finally gave me the opportunity to get other shoes of the same value while I sent the aforementioned ones back. Personally, this did not help me at all as they did not have what I wanted and it would take months to renew their range. Not to mention the dozens of phone calls I made and the time I lost until this was done, as they did not know when they would have new arrivals, nor which ones they would be...
Οντας κατοχος των Speedgoat 4 και 5 και επειτα απο πολλα χιλιομετρα τρεξιματος βουνου με τα παραπανω με τα νεα Speedgoat 6 απογοητευτηκα εντελως. Θα σταθω σε δυο σημεια. Το πρωτο ειναι υποκειμενικο και αφορα την σκληροτητα της σολας. Τα Speedgoat 6 ειναι πιο σκληρα και στην αποσβεση των κραδασμων δεν εχουν σχεση με τα προηγουμενα μοντελα. Οποιος τα προτιμουσε για αυτο τον λογο , καλο ειναι να παρει κατι αλλο. Το δευτερο θεμα δεν ειναι θεμα προτιμησης αλλα κατασκευαστικο σφαλμα ή κακη μελετη. Στην εξωτερικη πλευρα του παπουτσιου στο σημειο του αστραγαλου (επισυναπτω το σημειο στην φωτο) το παπουτσι χτυπαει τον αστραγαλο. Ειδικα στις κατηφορες με αρκετη κλιση σε καθε βημα χτυπαει πανω στον αστραγαλο. Στην πρωτη (και μοναδικη) βολτα καταφερα και γυρισα μετα βιας πισω , αφου πονουσα πολυ υστερα απο τα δυο πρωτα χλμ κατηφορας. Απευθύνθηκα στο καταστημα GEORGIADIS PEAK STORE απο οπου τα πηρα και οπως ειναι φυσικο δεν μπορουν να τα παρουν πισω γιατι τα χρησιμοποιησα. Απολυτως λογικο . Ρωτησα αν μπορω να το αναφερω στην εταιρια και αν μπορω να προβω σε αλλη ενεργεια και ο κυριος με τον οποιο μιλησα ειπε πως δεν θα πετυχω κατι και επεμενε να μην καταλαβαινει οτι προκειται για προβλημα του παπουτσιου και οχι θεμα προτιμησης ή αρεσκειας . Επισης του εξηγησα οτι το προβλημα φαινεται μονο στο τρεξιμο στο βουνο και μαλιστα σε κατηφορα με εντονη κλιση και αυτος συνεχιζε να επαναλαμβανει οτι επρεπε να τα ειχα "περπατησει" λιγο σπιτι μου. Μετα απο τοσα ζευγαρια HOKA Speedgoat 4 και 5 συγκεκριμενα, αλλα και αρκετα TECHNIKA , με το Speedgoat 6 δηλωνω πληρως δυσαρεστημενος και τα θεωρω απαραδεκτα και ακαταλληλα , καθως τετοιο προβλημα ΔΕΝ εχω αντιμετωπισει ποτε σε κανενα αλλο trail παπουτσι . Προτεινω την προσοχη σας!!Προσωπικα θα κανω οτι περναει απο το χερι μου βασει νομου για να "ενοχλησω" την κατασκευαστρια εταιρια καθως το θεωρω καθαρα λαθος κατασκευαστικο .
Επανερχομαι για να ενημερωσω οτι το καταστημα τελικα μου εδωσε την δυνατοτητα να παρω αλλα παπουτσια της ιδιας αξιας ενω στειλα πισω τα εν λογω . Αυτο προσωπικα δεν με βοηθησε καθολου καθως δεν ειχε αυτα που ηθελα και θα εκανε μηνες να ανανεωσει την γκαμα του . Για να μην αναφερθω στα δεκαδες τηλεφωνα που εκανα και στον χρονο που εχασα μεχρι να γινει αυτο , καθως δεν γνωριζαν ποτε θα εχουν παραλαβες , ουτε ποιες θα ηταν αυτες.....
Second run, mild trail, and unfortunately the shoe came apart on the outer side, I made the mistake of not getting the Mafate again which I've had for 5 years now and just wanted to update the model, nothing like the older Hoka models which were beasts in durability
Δευτερο τρέξιμο ήπιο τρειλ και δυστυχώς το παπούτσι ξεκόλλησε από την εξωτερική πλαϊνή πλευρά,, έκανα το λάθος και δεν ξαναπήρα το mafate που εχω 5 χρόνια τώρα και απλά ήθελα να ανανεώσω μοντέλο,, καμμια σχέση με τα παλιότερα μοντέλα hoka που ήταν σκυλιά στην αντοχή
As a beginner trail runner, I can say that it didn't bother me, it's a bit tight but stable! The sole is very durable and absorbs the irregularities of the trail satisfactorily!
Ως αρχάριος δρομέας trail μπορώ να πω ότι δε με προβλημάτισε, είναι λίγο σφιγκτό αλλά σταθερό! Η σόλα είναι πολύ ανθεκτική και απορροφά ικανοποιητικά τις ανωμαλίες του μονοπατιού!
Coming from the Speedgoat 5, which I was very satisfied with, I decided to try the new model, expecting the same, if not better, features.
POSITIVES:
1. Beauty. The shoe, for my taste, is beautiful. Of course, this is subjective, but there is definitely an improvement compared to the 5, which had a slightly odd shape.
2. Grip. The Vibram megagrip sole is beyond criticism. You truly feel like you won't slip anywhere. I have tested it on almost all terrains, except for conditions with heavy rain, which I don't know how it will perform in.
3. Fit. Of course, this depends on the shape of each individual's foot, but it fit me perfectly.
NEGATIVES:
1. Noticeably harder than the Speedgoat 5. However, I don't know if it will soften with mileage like some other shoes do, but I will never find out...
2. Durability. I truly can't believe that a shoe designed for trail running has such poor material in the front. The condition you see in the photos is after 180 kilometers, mostly in races (Metsovo, Olympus, Zagori) and some training on mountain trails. Without hitting or falling anywhere, the shoe simply started to open up in various places, to the point where it is now ready to be thrown away. It's tragic to spend €165 (that's how much I found it for when it was first released) and only wear it 5-6 times.
While I was a fan of Hoka until today, I will now turn to another brand solely because of durability.
Προερχόμενος από το Speedgoat 5 από το οποίο έμεινα πολύ ευχαριστημένος είπα να δοκιμάσω το νέο μοντέλο από το οποίο περιμένεις σαφώς τα ίδια αν όχι καλύτερα χαρακτηριστικά.
ΘΕΤΙΚΑ:
1. Ομορφιά. Το παπούτσι για τα δικά μου γούστα είναι πανέμορφο , φυσικά αυτό είναι κάτι υποκειμενικό, σίγουρα όμως υπάρχει βελτίωση σε σχέση με το 5αρι που ήταν λίγο περίεργο σε σχήμα.
2. Κράτημα. Η σόλα megagrip της Vibram είναι υπεράνω κριτικής. Πραγματικά νιώθεις ότι δεν θα γλιστρήσει πουθενά, δοκιμασμένο σε όλα σχεδόν τα τερέν εκτός από συνθήκες με πολλή βροχή που δεν ξέρω πως θα συμπεριφερθεί.
3. Δέσιμο στο πόδι. Φυσικά εδώ παίζει ρολο το σχήμα του ποδιού που διαφέρει από άτομο σε άτομο , εμένα μου έκατσε γάντι.
ΑΡΝΗΤΙΚΑ.
1. Αισθητά πιο σκληρό από το speedgoat 5, βέβαια δεν ξέρω αν με τα χιλιόμετρα μαλακώσει όπως συμβαίνει με κάποια άλλα παπούτσια, αλλά δεν θα το μάθω και ποτέ…
2. Αντοχή. Πραγματικά δεν μπορώ να πιστέψω πως ένα παπούτσι που προορίζεται για trail έχει τόσο κακό υλικό μπροστά. Η κατάσταση που βλέπετε στις φωτογραφίες είναι μετά από 180 χιλιόμετρα τα οποία γίνανε κυρίως σε αγώνες ( Μέτσοβο , Όλυμπος , Ζαγόρι) και κάποιες προπονήσεις σε ορεινά μονοπάτια. Χωρίς να χτυπήσω κάπου και χωρίς να πέσω το παπούτσι απλά άρχισε να ανοίγει σε διάφορα σημεία , πλέον σε βαθμό που είναι για πέταμα. Τραγικό να δίνεις 165€ (τόσο το βρήκα δυστυχώς μόλις πρωτοκυκλοφόρησε) και να το φοράς 5-6 φορές.
Ενώ μέχρι σήμερα ήμουν Hokaκιας , πλέον θα στραφώ σε άλλη εταιρεία καθαρά και μόνο λόγω αντοχής.
