As an owner of the Speedgoat 4 and 5, and after many kilometers of mountain running with the above, I was completely disappointed with the new Speedgoat 6. I will focus on two points. The first is subjective and concerns the hardness of the sole. The Speedgoat 6 is harder and the shock absorption is not comparable to the previous models. Anyone who preferred them for this reason should get something else. The second issue is not a matter of preference but a manufacturing error or poor design. On the outside of the shoe at the ankle area (I attach the spot in the photo), the shoe hits the ankle. Especially on steep downhills, with every step it hits the ankle. On the first (and only) run, I barely managed to return home, as I was in a lot of pain after the first two downhill kilometers. I contacted the GEORGIADIS PEAK STORE where I bought them and, as expected, they could not take them back because I had used them. Absolutely reasonable. I asked if I could report it to the company and if I could take any other action, and the gentleman I spoke to said I wouldn’t achieve anything and insisted on not understanding that it was a problem with the shoe and not a matter of preference or liking. I also explained to him that the problem only appears when running on the mountain, especially on steep downhills, and he kept repeating that I should have 'walked' in them a bit at home. After so many pairs of HOKA Speedgoat 4 and 5 specifically, and quite a few TECHNIKA as well, I declare myself completely dissatisfied with the Speedgoat 6 and consider them unacceptable and unsuitable, as I have NEVER encountered such a problem with any other trail shoe. I urge you to be cautious!! Personally, I will do everything in my power according to the law to 'bother' the manufacturer as I consider it purely a manufacturing error.

I am returning to inform you that the store finally gave me the opportunity to get other shoes of the same value while I sent the aforementioned ones back. Personally, this did not help me at all as they did not have what I wanted and it would take months to renew their range. Not to mention the dozens of phone calls I made and the time I lost until this was done, as they did not know when they would have new arrivals, nor which ones they would be...

Coming from the Speedgoat 5, which I was very satisfied with, I decided to try the new model, expecting the same, if not better, features.

POSITIVES:
1. Beauty. The shoe, for my taste, is beautiful. Of course, this is subjective, but there is definitely an improvement compared to the 5, which had a slightly odd shape.
2. Grip. The Vibram megagrip sole is beyond criticism. You truly feel like you won't slip anywhere. I have tested it on almost all terrains, except for conditions with heavy rain, which I don't know how it will perform in.
3. Fit. Of course, this depends on the shape of each individual's foot, but it fit me perfectly.

NEGATIVES:
1. Noticeably harder than the Speedgoat 5. However, I don't know if it will soften with mileage like some other shoes do, but I will never find out...
2. Durability. I truly can't believe that a shoe designed for trail running has such poor material in the front. The condition you see in the photos is after 180 kilometers, mostly in races (Metsovo, Olympus, Zagori) and some training on mountain trails. Without hitting or falling anywhere, the shoe simply started to open up in various places, to the point where it is now ready to be thrown away. It's tragic to spend €165 (that's how much I found it for when it was first released) and only wear it 5-6 times.

While I was a fan of Hoka until today, I will now turn to another brand solely because of durability.
