Aesop is the most famous of the ancient mythmakers and is considered the foremost of the so-called "didactic mythology." In his fables, which were told orally and drawn from everyday life and nature, he condemns evil in its most representative forms: violence, deceit, betrayal, mendacity, greed, and cunning, and they always have some moral lesson at the end.
He was of humble origin, and although he lived as a slave, the Athenians later erected a statue in his honor to show that every person of worth should be respected, regardless of their background.
The book "AESOP'S 30 FABLES" contains some of his most well-known fables in a specially crafted edition with colorful illustrations.
