A sixteen-year-old girl, the beautiful Jenny, is abducted in broad daylight as she returns home from school. She ends up in a dilapidated house, where she faces horrors far beyond her worst nightmares, along with other girls.
On a rainy night, five years later, Jenny's hanged body is found suspended in the middle of a playground. The police are struggling with extremely scant evidence to uncover anything that might lead to a breakthrough, when Inspector Joona Linna identifies a bizarre connection between Jenny's murder and a death that was reported as a suicide many years earlier.
The disappearance of yet another teenage girl makes it clear to Linna that they are dealing with a serial killer - and it is highly likely that his murderous spree has only just begun...
