Warning – to mourn 25 years of misfortune and darkness that have been unleashed over generations of children, the publishers of Lemony Snicket have undertaken the unknown risk of creating brand-new collectible editions of the series "A Series of Unfortunate Events," illustrated by the highly talented Emily Gravett. The temptation to acquire a copy is truly strong...
Dear reader,
You still have time to choose another internationally best-selling series to read. But if you insist on discovering the unpleasant adventures of the Baudelaire orphans, then proceed with caution...
Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire are intelligent children. They are charming, resourceful, and have pleasant facial features. Unfortunately, they are extremely unfortunate.
In "The Ersatz Elevator," the siblings face a dark staircase, a red fish, friends in dire straits, three mysterious initials, a liar with an evil plan, a secret passageway, and parsley soda.
In the tradition of great storytellers, from Dickens to Dahl, comes a highly dark comedy that is both literary and irreverent, funny and meticulously crafted.
Despite its unpleasant content, "A Series of Unfortunate Events" has sold 60 million copies worldwide and has become a Hollywood movie starring Jim Carrey. And in the future, things are expected to get much worse, thanks to the upcoming Netflix series starring Neil Patrick Harris. You have been warned.
Are you unlucky enough to have all 13 adventures?
- The Bad Beginning
