Warning – to celebrate 25 years of misfortune and pessimistic adventures that have captivated many generations of children, the publishers of Lemony Snicket took the risk of creating new collector's editions of the series A Series of Unfortunate Events, illustrated by the exceptionally talented Emily Gravett. The temptation to obtain a copy is truly strong...
Dear reader,
You still have time to choose another internationally best-selling series to read. But if you insist on discovering the unpleasant adventures of the Baudelaire orphans, then proceed with caution...
Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire are smart children. They are charming, resourceful, and have pleasant features. Unfortunately, they are extremely unlucky.
At The Austere Academy, the siblings face attacking crabs, strict punishments, moldy drops, exams, violin recitals, and all other imaginable challenges.
In the tradition of great storytelling, from Dickens to Dahl, comes an incredibly dark comedy that is both literary and provocative, funny and masterfully crafted.
Despite its miserable themes, A Series of Unfortunate Events has sold 60 million copies worldwide and has been made into a Hollywood film starring Jim Carrey. And in the future, things are set to become much worse, thanks to the new Netflix series directed by Barry Sonnenfeld. You have been warned.
Are you unfortunate enough to own all 13 adventures?

- "Shouldn't You Be in School?"
- "Why Is This Night Different from All Other Nights?"
Lemony Snicket was born before you and will likely die before you as well. He was born in a small town where the inhabitants were suspicious and prone to turmoil. He grew up by the sea and now lives beneath it. Until recently, he lived somewhere else.
Brett Helquist was born in Ganado, Arizona, grew up in Orem, Utah, and now lives in New York City. He received a degree in fine arts from Brigham Young University and has been illustrating ever since. His work has been published in many editions, including Cricket and The New York Times.
