My childhood, even though so much time has passed, I remember as if it were yesterday. More than anything, I remember my friends and my good teachers. I also remember the town where I grew up, the houses that have been demolished, the pastry shops that have closed – even if other greater ones have opened. I enjoy walking through it and counting the changes. It's like seeing a beautiful bird change its feathers, like a dry winter tree that sprouts new leaves in the spring.

When I say I am lucky, it’s because the greatest change, as time goes by, is that I make many more friends and hold them close to my heart. And they become dear friends, heart-friends.

The books "Linos," "Maya," and "Petros and Pavlos" come back in one volume and narrate in a novelistic way the life of Sofia Zarampouka.
