Description

The Keychron Q6 Max represents the epitome of premium mechanical keyboards, combining a full metal construction with ultimate wireless freedom. Equipped with 2.4 GHz connectivity and a 1000 Hz polling rate, it offers zero latency even in competitive gaming. The internal upgrade with multiple layers of acoustic foam (IXPE, PET, Latex) and the Double-Gasket design ensure a soft, "buttery" sound with every keystroke. Featuring Gateron Jupiter Banana switches for a unique tactile feel and full QMK/VIA support, the Q6 Max is a CNC aluminum work of art that will accompany you for a lifetime.

CNC Aluminum Body: A Metallic Work of Art

The entire body of the Q6 Max is made from 6063 aluminum, which is processed through CNC, polished, and sandblasted in more than 24 production stages. The result is a sturdy, heavy keyboard (approximately 2184g) that offers unparalleled stability on your desk and a sense of luxury that only solid metal can provide. Its design is meticulous down to the last detail, ensuring that the device is not just a tool, but a durable heirloom of high aesthetics.

Wireless Connection 2.4 GHz & Bluetooth 5.1

Enjoy top performance without cables thanks to the 2.4 GHz connection that supports a polling rate of 1000 Hz for instant response. For those working on multiple devices, the Q6 Max connects via Bluetooth 5.1 to up to three devices simultaneously (computer, tablet, mobile), allowing easy switching between them. Of course, wired connectivity is also available via USB Type-C, offering the maximum reliability required by gamers and professional programmers.

Double-Gasket Design and Advanced Acoustics

The innovative Double Gasket structure of the Q6 Max drastically reduces metallic resonance and noise during typing. In addition to the gaskets on the plate, silicone pads have been added between the top and bottom of the case. Combined with the flexible PC (Polycarbonate) plate and the layers of IXPE and Latex absorbing foam, the keyboard offers a unique tactile experience and a sound that is “music” to the ears, making typing a real pleasure.

Gateron Jupiter Banana Switches & Hot-swappable PCB

The exclusive Gateron Jupiter Banana switches offer an early tactile bump at the top of the stroke, reminiscent of the legendary Panda switches, but with a smoother operation. They are pre-lubed for 80 million keystrokes and feature a special LED diffuser for a soft RGB effect. Thanks to the Hot-swappable PCB, you can change the switches within seconds with any 3-pin or 5-pin MX switch on the market (Cherry, Gateron, Kailh, etc.) without the need for soldering, creating your own personalized setup.

Full Customization with QMK & Launcher Web App

The Q6 Max fully supports the open-source firmware QMK, offering countless possibilities for key remapping, macros, and shortcuts. Through the Keychron Launcher application, you can program every key and the rotary knob easily from your browser. Additionally, the keyboard features a physical switch for toggling between macOS and Windows, and it also includes an extra set of keycaps for both systems, allowing you to save two different layouts in its memory.

This review is about the switches: Gateron Jupiter Red

Fantastic keyboard. It's a pleasure to work with. It is quite heavy and does not move at all. I also combined it with its wrist gel and it's perfect. Highly recommended for programming.

This review is about the switches: Gateron Jupiter Brown

Disappointment. 160 euros I paid for a piece of metal is way too much.
It has no tilt. The caps lock and num lock indicators are only visible in the dark.
I won't say anything about the feel of the keys. I doubt that those who rate it positively have even seen, let alone touched, a decent keyboard.
    Lights on a box.
It works as a paperweight, but I've seen cheaper ones.
In the end, there is no better keyboard than the IBM type M or F.

This review is about the switches: Gateron Jupiter Red

Good build quality (quite heavy but I don't consider it a negative)
Nice and linear sound (with the Red switches it is not as loud as in other mechanical keyboards, so if someone wants a louder sound they should go for Brown or Banana)
3 connection methods (dongle, bluetooth, wired type c (the cable is included))
Can be used on Windows and Mac (includes keys for both operating systems)

A negative I would say is the lack of backlight on the keys but I didn't find many mechanical keyboards that have it so I overlook it since its lighting is sufficient even in a dark room
So far I haven't found any other negatives, if needed I will return.

This review is about the switches: Gateron Jupiter Brown

One of the best keyboards on the market.

The only negative is that the space bar is wobbling a little bit. At this price tag I wouldn't expect such an issue. But overall, really one of the best. And I have tried Razer magnetic, LG 815, Ducky blue switches, generally many high-end keyboards. It's the only one that I'm truly addicted to typing on

fantastic keyboard, top quality construction with metal underneath, it shows even from its weight, it is almost 2.3 kg, the feeling is premium as it should be for its price, the battery lasts a week with the LEDs on and gaming use, the connection options are extremely convenient whether you want it wired or want to plug in the receiver or connect it via Bluetooth even to a mobile or another device, no issues

This review is about the switches: Gateron Jupiter Brown

Simply amazing. I didn't expect it, it's from the future.
On the downside, even though it's RGB, it doesn't have shine-through on the letters. I didn't expect that because I didn't research it. At some point, I will buy OSA Side-printed Shine-through keys because honestly, I see this being my keyboard for the rest of my life.
On the downside, it is also extremely heavy. Aluminum. But those are the only negatives; other than that, we're talking about the perfect product.
