The only bad thing is that it doesn't have integrated RAM inside and it doesn't mention it, however for its price it's ok.

I bought it in the summer of 2025 for 55 euros. Now, because of AI, it costs 160 euros; it's just a shame to buy a drive at these prices.
First, take the drive from your PlayStation for example, or your old laptops, and put them in your computer, as much as possible.
Other than that, it's a perfectly fine drive, I use it for video editing and gaming almost every day. Even when I'm editing or exporting, all on the same drive, it only reaches at most 50% utilization.
On an AM4 motherboard for drives, gen 4. In real use, it's not "10 times" faster than a 2.5'' SSD I have, as they say in the description, but okay, it's just fine.

After a format, none of the games I had on the previous drive would open, for some reason the Windows installation on this drive was missing some System32 files (I suppose!?)...

I installed Windows on a similar Samsung drive (because of the price difference with Kingston), then put the games on the Kingston and they work perfectly...

So we come to the following conclusion... I necessarily needed 2 drives because of Kingston...

There is a reason this drive is much cheaper than its counterparts... Because it cannot function properly as a primary drive for Windows installation... Sad...

I have had the Kingston NV3 SSD 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 for 7 months now and I haven't encountered any problems. The read and write speeds are excellent, I use it for gaming, computer tasks, and everything runs perfectly. Stable, fast, and absolutely reliable.

A normal disk. In general, I never had a problem with Kingston. Every check-up I've done seems fine. As for speed, I don't know if it makes sense to get something faster—usually the bottleneck is download speed nowadays anyway, and it's much faster than 35 mb/s (or 290 mbpps) respectively. As a mac user who tried running this drive as an external ssd it is useless to say the least. Because it has no DRAM chip on it.

It is very good for its price. It has quite fast speeds, it does not heat up when it is "under pressure." I believe there is no competition at this price.

Purchase 23/10/2025 2TB capacity at 108.51 euros from a well-known Greek chain of electrical/electronic stores with the colors of A.E.K. (yellow & black) e-magazi.gr. They were out of stock so I waited patiently for 2 weeks.

So, an upgrade from Kingston A2000 250GB where its life had dropped to 92% at 3000 hours of use (3 years) and it had started to fill up.

The 2TB was purchased as you can see in the photo to remain as the main drive with Windows 11 inside for at least the next 5 years.

I will return to update my review with any new developments.

The disk was purchased for a game library (4TB). It is perfect for fast loading and game updates. Recommended.

Awesome guys. I installed it as a secondary storage on my gaming laptop. I have loaded games on it, I do hundreds of hours of video recording via OBS, and I have never encountered any problems.

it has been installed to replace another disk in a server I have and it runs with proxmox. so far I have not encountered any problems.

Unfortunately, almost no Budget M.2 is reliable for long-term use, there are many reports of high failure rates in all or almost all Brands compared to what is "acceptable".

The use I would suggest for this M.2 would be either for programs or for Games. It is also a good Budget M.2 for the PS5.
It has excellent speed and Specs to run your games or programs, but it does not have the reliability to store files you need, such as photos or anything you would "mourn" if you lost it.
So I wouldn't use it as the main M.2 for the PC's operating system either.

I haven't had it for long, but for its price it seems like a very good product! For now, I am satisfied!

Awesome VFM M2. I have it as a second drive for gaming on the PC. There’s no reason to buy another drive for secondary use. At this price, it’s a no-brainer

Quite a value. I had bought one with 1TB two years ago, I have it permanently with games and so far it works perfectly. I also got a cooler and I believe it's even better.

It is an excellent and very fast space. Also, there is an app that lets you see useful information about it, such as the temperature of the NVMe, its "life" percentage, and many other pieces of information.
