Aeschylus is a great poet who is at the beginning of shaping ancient Greek dramatic poetry. His works address various themes: social, poetic, metaphysical. All his works are presented with a solid structure and lyrical exclamations.
From his rich body of work, we have preserved the seven tragedies presented in this series. Each book includes the ancient Greek text, its translation, philological notes on the work, an analysis of the work, discussion questions for further text exploration, a selection of the work, relevant bibliography, and an index of terms and names.
