According to the author, "from the words crypton and gamein, the title of the work Kryptogama refers to hidden fertilization. This is how the Swedish botanist Carl Linnaeus named seaweeds, fungi, mosses, and ferns, as the absence of flowers, fruits, and seeds made their mode of reproduction enigmatic.

However, there are also human beings that emit the same riddle, with an unclear classification between genders, playing a foggy role in the flow of evolution. Organisms that in order to survive mimic their neighbors in ways, attire, and language, forced to bloom only in darkness, filling their lungs with night.

This is how they live, holding their breath for years, but if their air is saved and they are forced to violently emerge into the light, ignition becomes inevitable."
