This review is about the network version: v3.20

I got the v3.20, the critical client, to get internet directly from another router and it doesn’t work at all, and with bad weather it loses the signal. Meanwhile, I used to have the v2 and it worked perfectly, it was worth it

It was installed in a house to send the signal far so that the cameras could work (repeater mode), there is nothing more worthwhile at this price. It was installed on the roof as shown in the photo, it picked up a wireless signal from the room inside the house. If you want proper results, you need to connect it directly to the internet line for maximum upload speeds. The distance I needed was 50 meters with trees, etc. * Important to make sure it faces the area you want (fortunately it has a spectrum of some degrees that opens up the signal so it's hard to miss). Regarding the signal strength, if you want to take advantage of it, you need to connect to the address 192….. and set the country to America. The dBm increases dramatically. Finally, it matters how clean the signal goes. It has a very large range.

Unfortunately, version V3 has low output power! Putty did not help, as the virtual increase from 11dbm to 27dbm did not work. A test was performed at the same location with another CPE 210 antenna and version V2, where a difference of over 5dbm was observed. Therefore, I do not recommend it if you want to transmit internet over a longer distance! However, as a client, it is relatively okay.

For its price, it's great. The issue is when you search for tp link, it brings them down below. You need to unlock it with ssh protocol, and if you restart it, you'll have to do it again. Very stable compared to older models that needed a restart every so often.

To me, the internet is not stable, meaning it goes up and down, and the ping in games goes from 60 to 200, and I have done everything to fix it, it has a lot of jitter and latency. It is fast but it has this issue and I have it at 27dbm.

This review is about the network version: v1

Well. I have had it for about 3 years. I have pulled a PoE cable somewhere around 30 meters from my router and I have placed it outside my house on the balcony. I get internet throughout the house. I bought it because I had repeaters that were constantly disconnecting and I didn't have good speed at all. It rarely or never disconnects, and if it does, it requires a restart that can be done from the 192.168, which needs to be connected to the network where it gets internet or to it with a cable because it has 2 ports. With a 50 Mbps connection, I get exactly 50, and with a 100 Mbps connection, at most 70-75 because it broadcasts at 2.4, so it can't go higher. Anyway, I am satisfied all these years without any problems at all.

I also very generously paid money for nothing.
What a waste of my effort to install external boxes and drill to pull another ethernet line...
The antenna doesn't even reach 25 meters, which is the distance to my other house. In short, what good signal does it catch when I have taken it outside, where it is supposed to cover 360 degrees internally!

    The positives:

Connected as a client and unlocked at 27 dbm, it surpasses any wireless stick.

    The negatives:

Extreme problematic operation, a constant noise is heard from inside, the known buzzing sound like an electrical discharge. When I asked tplink, they told me that it has a problem and nothing should be heard. The range for 27dbm is very small. Disconnections are frequent, along with constant plug and unplug due to sticking. Tested on multiple networks, it has the same result. Unfortunately, it is not suitable for anything.

The most tragic thing I have ever experienced. Unstable in operation and very importantly, it has the lowest signal strength compared to any other AP I have bought in my life.
I have already thrown it in a corner and I am looking for its replacement. Far away from this AP!!!

Since most people will buy it to borrow internet, I would say that it is unstable and in no way compares to the Ubiquiti NanoStation Loco M2 that I also have. Side by side, both of them and in an attempt to connect to the same network, the Tplink has issues (disconnects, low signal, etc.) while the clearly superior Ubiquiti connects normally with excellent signal and no disconnections.

I would not recommend it, its antenna has low range and it disconnects quite often.

It is excellent and very fast. I use it as a client connected to a router. I also have the 7210n, equally reliable, but for these specific conditions, side by side, the cpe210(v2) is better and more stable in signal reception. The distance is about 100 meters with interference from two walls (bricks).

It takes an 11 Mbps line and after a few hours it drops to an unstable 2.5-3 Mbps and requires a reboot. Additionally, it does not retain the IP address I assign to it for wireless control and the transmission signal is very weak, with a maximum of 11 bpm.

Very high-quality antenna. It has been used as an access point - client (pair at a distance of 800m) but also as a client (to receive signals from a distance of 250m). In both cases, the signal was excellent and the speeds were very satisfactory. Stable, without interruptions, and very discreet since their size is quite small. The POE (Power Over Ethernet) capability is very convenient, as the antennas are powered through the Ethernet cable. Personally, I highly recommend it to everyone, as the performance/price ratio for me is 10/10, and also because setting it up does not require any special knowledge.

This review is about the network version: v1

Comparing it to the nanostation in its category, it doesn't stand a chance!
I have worked with both and I have a complete opinion!
If someone is considering buying, I highly recommend the nanostation without a doubt!
    Much superior!

As a bridge function, it is set up correctly and normally connects to the internet, but at regular intervals it cuts off my internet access.

It didn't take me any time to set it up, etc... it's really very easy, especially if someone has even a little experience setting up other access points/routers... really very easy and with incredible power, signal, and range

Unacceptable. Money wasted. The signal doesn't even reach through a wall. I have it on the balcony on the first floor and it doesn't send a signal to any room on the ground floor. Not even directly below. I am returning it immediately.

Top machine for whatever use you want!
In general, TP LINK is an affordable, stable, and reliable company for me.
    Buy without fear.

Another amazing machine from tplink. It is stable and reliable, you just set it up and then forget about it. It has never given me any problems, even with full usage, and it doesn't even notice cold or rain, nothing

  • I got the v3.20, the critical client, to get internet directly from another router and it doesn’t work at all, and with bad weather it loses the signal. Meanwhile, I used to have the v2 and it worked perfectly, it was worth it

  • It was installed in a house to send the signal far so that the cameras could work (repeater mode), there is nothing more worthwhile at this price.

  • I have two pieces of Cpe210 v3.20, sometimes they work, sometimes they don't, sometimes they don't connect, sometimes they don't get an IP, useless,

  • Very good device and reliable in uninterrupted operation since the day it was installed with about 20 meters of ethernet (POE).

  • Be very careful where and how you will use it before ordering. It is for very specific use, only for experts, and to do its job it must work with an identical one on the other side.
