The purpose of this publication is to analyze the critical institutions of collective labor law, which is one of the two specific branches of labor law. Furthermore, individual labor law cannot be understood in its entirety unless the course of collective labor law is examined in parallel.
The 4th enhanced edition of the work is aimed more broadly at legal professionals, that is, both theorists and practitioners, including lawyers and judges. Special effort has been made to ensure that it can also serve as a university textbook, introducing students to the issues of collective labor law and the historical development of labor relations.
Specifically analyzed are the institutions of trade union freedom, collective autonomy, collective labor agreements, strikes, as well as the participation of employees in business decision-making. Based on the interpretation of legal provisions, the book engages with case law, providing criticism where deemed necessary, and extending to the analysis of the social implications of the solutions proposed.
