The Nobel laureate philosopher and humanist Bertrand Russell is not convinced by the arguments for the existence and attributes of God. In the famous lecture he gave in South London in 1927, he not only comments on the dogmatism and the moral and cosmological ambiguity that characterize such arguments, but also makes several other very interesting observations.
One of the brightest minds of the 20th century, Bertrand Arthur William Russell (1872-1970) was born in Wales to an aristocratic family, studied mathematics at Cambridge, and was a founding figure of analytic philosophy. Intervening in the public sphere, he often took a stand on the significant issues of his time, while teaching philosophy at many universities around the world, from the United States to China.
In 1950, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature, "in recognition of his commitment to humanitarian ideals and the freedom of thought."
