Description & Specifications

In the affluent Amsterdam of 1705, Thea Brand embraces her coming of age with open arms. At the city’s theater, Walter, the love of her life, waits for her, but at home, the situation is volatile – her father and her aunt, Nella, constantly quarrel, and the family is selling off the furniture and heirlooms of the house to survive.

On Thea's birthday, which is also the day her mother died eighteen years ago, secrets from the past resurface and seem to threaten the present. Aunt Nella desperately wants to save the family and maintain their image, seeking a husband for Thea who will ensure her future.

When they receive an invitation to the ball where all the esteemed families of the city will be present, Nella is thrilled. Indeed, that night sparks developments: new faces enter their lives, promising much for the future.

However, the fate of the Brand family is still unclear, and when Nella feels a shiver at her neck, she remembers the miniaturist who intruded into her life and played with her fate eighteen years ago. Could she now be returning to meddle in their lives?
