This edition includes novellas and short stories by Ivo Andrić, as well as some texts that we found interesting for the reader, where the author himself expresses his thoughts and feelings, rather than through his characters.

Therefore, along with his speeches delivered at special events, we present a selection of texts (essays) and excerpts from his "notebooks" in which he kept notes throughout his life.

The latter, complete in their entirety, were published after his death under the title Traces at the Edge of the Road (a small portion was selected by the author himself and published before his death).

We hope that readers who have read Ivo Andrić's books will better understand the author's personality through these texts and love his work even more.
