Description

Description

Lampros Konstantaras lived life on his own terms and had his own values that justified him, both in his career journey and against the harshest critic, time.

Forty years after his death, his voice continues to resonate in every Greek home, bringing laughter from generation to generation. This book is written by his own family, his son Dimitris and his grandchildren Pavlina and Lampros.

Their deeply personal experiences blend sweetly with documents and unpublished photographs, resulting in an original biography filled with information, comments, and essential elements for the reader to form a more complete picture of the true "face" of this significant individual.

Noteworthy gifts include the foreword by theater critic and writer Kostas Georgousopoulos and the epilogue by his dear friend Freddy Germanos.

Through the pages of this book, you will learn and realize much about the life and career of "our" and "yours" Lampros.

Review this product
  • This particular actor was an "oak" of the arts. You cannot "succeed" him—for very few can such a thing be said (and even the phrase "...he is the new Konstantaras..." sounds ridiculous). The book, from the person who had the privileged position to highlight it, is very good, with prose that "flows." It gets a bit "lost" in the details about the performance of the films and their ticket sales, something that probably concerns the subject of other books. Among the "strong points" of the work are the photographs—they are excellent—especially the cover. Finally, the introduction (Georgousopoulos) and the postscript (Fr. Germanos) should henceforth be the benchmark for anyone who wishes to write a foreword or afterword for biographical books...
