There are two elements that I believe provoke interest in these whirlwind entries and make them so popular. First of all, there is the parade of names. Writers, actors, politicians, and so many other celebrities fill the days of Thanasis Niarchos to such an extent that one must wonder about his exhausting work rhythms, which alternate with a fully social nightlife.

Giannis Kontos, Menis Koumandareas, Christoforos Liontakis, Marina Karagatsi, Manos Eleftheriou, Manos Karatzogianis, Antonis Fostieris, and Thanasis Kastaniotis, Amalia Megapanu and Kiki Dimoula, Kostas Mitropoulos, Zozo Sapountzaki, and Stamatis Fasoulis are just some of the faces that make up his close circle, along with ministers, MPs, painters, directors, etc.

For this reason, the diary pages of Thanasis Th. Niarchos capture a large part of the Athenian and, by extension, the Greek cultural history of the last nearly forty years (1981-2018), constituting a valuable tool for the researcher of this period, who can now confirm friendly networks, intellectual affinities, and underground influences.
