At twelve minutes to midnight, on a New Year's Eve, in the mythical foyer of time and space, the New Year eagerly awaits to take the world's fates into his hands, while the Old Year, refusing to admit that he must leave as a failure, decides to assassinate his successor.
Throughout the play, as the universe teeters on the brink of absolute chaos, a multitude of characters and creatures, including Roman centurions, dinosaurs, unrepentant rulers, chained prisoners, vengeful Bedouins, trumpeters, pirates, panicked penguins, harlequins, and a white unicorn, appear and disappear at a rapid pace from the time gates of the future and the past in a dreamlike spectacle of sounds and colors.
