A touching story set during the Spanish Civil War, related to the bond between a young boy and his bull and their attempt to escape a terrifying fate.

Antonito lives on a farm in the Spanish countryside, surrounded by animals, and his life is simple yet extraordinary. He and his calf, Paco, are inseparable, and the future is an unexplored possibility. However, when Antonito sees with his own eyes what happens to the bulls in the ring, he decides to escape with Paco into the hills.

But Paco's fate is not the only violent one they must avoid. As the civil war engulfs Spain, planes and soldiers arrive, and their bombs and weapons may destroy Antonito's entire world...
